Kohistan Mega Corruption Scandal: NAB arrests 5 more accused

KP NAB has arrested 5 more accused in Rs 40 billion mega corruption scandal in Kohistan.
The accused persons arrested in Rs 40 billion Mega Corruption Scandal include 2 former bank managers and senior auditor from Accountant General Office.
According to NAB sources overall 15 accused have been arrested so far in Kohistan scandal. 10 among 15 accused are on judicial remand while 5 are with NAB on physical remand. As per sources contractors of different schemes of Kohistan are included in other accused.
Rs 40 billions were withdrawn from official bank account with nexus.
NAB had freezed suspected bank accounts of Rs 5 billion during investigation in mega corruption scandal besides taking into custody several vehicles and properties.
NAB had recovered foreign currency, 3 kilogram gold and 77 precious vehicles worth million of rupees from the homes of the accused persons.
As per report 109 commercial properties worth billion of rupees were sealed in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Abbottabad, Mansehra and Peshawar.
NAB had sealed 4 farm houses, 12 commercial plazas, 2 commercial plots, 30 homes, 12 shops, 25 flats. 175 kanals agriculture land and other important properties.
