KP health minister condemns murder of lady doctor in Abbottabad

Provincial minister for health Khaliq-ur-Rehman has expressed profound sorrow and grief over the tragic and brutal murder of Dr. Warda Mushtaq, Chief Medical Officer at DHQ Abbottabad Hospital.
In a statement, minister for health described the incident as heartbreaking and inhuman, the minister condemned the act in the strongest terms, stating that such brutality will not be tolerated and those responsible will face the full force of the law.
“The recovery of her body has left the entire province in grief and shock,” he said.

The minister said that upon receiving news of Dr. Warda’s disappearance, he remained in close contact with district administration and law enforcement agencies, personally monitoring the case with urgency and seriousness.

Khaliq-ur-Rehman announced that a high-level inquiry will be conducted, and a complete fact-finding report has been sought from the IG KP.
He furthered that steps were being taken to enact a protection act to ensure the security of doctors and prevent similar incidents in the future.
The minister emphasized that all perpetrators of this heinous crime will be brought to justice and punished severely.
He assured Dr. Warda’s family of full moral, legal, and administrative support from the health department, adding that the entire medical community stands with them in this hour of grief.
