Kohat: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Aftab Alam has on Thursday directed the government departments and private stakeholders to accelerate work on key infrastructure and public development projects in Kohat, stressing timely implementation to improve public services. These directives were issued during a high-level meeting at the Deputy Commissioner’s Camp Office in Kohat, attended by the Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nawaz Wazir, senior officials of the National Highway Authority, MOL Pakistan, Kohat Cement Company and district administration officers. Officials briefed the meeting on the progress of national highway construction and maintenance, the operational status of the Kohat Tunnel, traffic management, industrial activity, community development initiatives and other ongoing projects. Participants also reviewed bottlenecks affecting implementation and discussed measures to address them. Alam said the provincial government remained committed to resolving public issues through coordinated action and directed all the relevant institutions to strengthen collaboration to ensure the timely completion of projects serving the public interest. The meeting also considered proposals aimed at improving road infrastructure, strengthening public facilities, supporting industrial and social development and addressing issues faced by local communities.
The Minister directed all concerned departments to implement the meeting’s decisions without delay and closely monitor project progress to ensure that development benefits reach the public as quickly as possible.
