PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Public Health Engineering Fazal Shakoor Khan on Monday chaired an important meeting to review ongoing water supply schemes and tube wells in Khyber district, and their proposed conversion to solar energy. The meeting examined the current status of water supply schemes and tube wells being managed by the Public Health Engineering Department in the district. The Executive Engineer Khyber briefed the minister on both functional and non-functional water supply schemes and tube wells. He informed that several tube wells were operational and providing clean drinking water to residents, while some remained non-functional due to various reasons. Officials said repair and rehabilitation work on the non-functional tube wells was underway, and they would be made operational soon to restore water supply to the affected areas.
