PESHAWAR
A ceremony was held at the University of Peshawar (UoP) to distribute laptops to students under the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme, with PML-N Provincial President and Federal Minister Engineer Amir Muqam as the chief guest.
The event was also attended by the provincial leaders of PML-N including MPA Malik Tariq Awan, MPA Sobia Shahid, MPA Jamila Paracha, and other key figures, including Vice Chancellor of Peshawar University, Professor Dr. Johar Ali.
During the ceremony, 70 out of 1,400 laptops were distributed to students. The initiative, part of the youth program launched by Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, aims to provide educational support and employment opportunities to the country’s youth.
Speaking at the event, Federal Minister Engineer Amir Muqam highlighted that after Mardan University, Peshawar University students were among the first to benefit from this scheme. He emphasized that this program aligns with the vision of PML-N leadership, including Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, to empower students and youth in the digital era.
The provincial president of PML-N also announced that soon, other districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will also benefit from the scheme.
He assured that the PML-N government will continue to work for the betterment of the people and youth of the province.
