PESHAWAR: The Excise Taxation and Narcotics Control Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has launched legal action against owners of unregistered vehicles and motorcycles as well as token tax defaulters in Peshawar. According to a statement issued by Excise and Taxation Office-I Peshawar, vehicle owners have been directed to complete the registration of unregistered vehicles and motorcycles and clear outstanding token taxes without delay to avoid legal complications. Excise and Taxation Officer-I Masaud-ul-Haq said that strict action would be taken against violators under the relevant laws. He warned that in cases of non-compliance, penalties could be imposed, vehicles impounded and further legal proceedings initiated against defaulters. The official urged the public to cooperate with the department by complying with legal requirements and fulfilling their obligations in a timely manner to help ensure an efficient and transparent system.
