Solar net metering
LAHORE
Lahore High Court (LHC) has sought reply from federal government, NEPRA and LESCO on the matter of solar net metering. The LHC has issued written decision on the petition against the government and NEPRA policy related to solar net metering. The written decision said the points raised in the petition are very important. The court will review the matter in depth. Federal government, NEPRA and LESCO should file reply.
Attorney general should appear for assistance of the court.

Noman Qaisar counsel for the petitioners argued taking the plea that bringing net billing in place of net metering is robbery on the rights of the consumers.
New laws of NEPRA are in violation of article 23 and 24 of the constitution. The government broke the promise of unit in exchange of unit. New policy has become burden on the citizens who have made investment in solar system.
The court should issue orders for maintaining old net metering policy.
The court was requested to stop the implementation of new regulations.
