Mardan: District Police Officer Mardan Masood Ahmad has said that the state-of-the-art Police Facility Center established in Mardan is an important gift to the people, where 19 different police services are being provided to the citizens under one roof in the best environment. Talking to media persons at the Police Facility Center, he said that the provincial government has approved the Safe City Project for Mardan, which will help in making crime prevention, surveillance system and investigation process more effective. The DPO said that according to the vision of the Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the condition of the police mess, recreation center and barracks in the police lines has been improved, while new bathrooms and adequate seating facilities have been provided in the police stations for the convenience of the police personnel and the public. He said that the construction of Police Facilitation Center in Tehsil Rustam has been completed and it will be inaugurated soon, while Police Facilitation Centers are also being established in Katlang and Takhtbhai. According to Masood Ahmed, separate waiting rooms and washrooms for men and women have been set up in the Mardan Police Facility Center for various services. He said that Mardan is an important commercial center of the province where the problems of parking are also increasing with the increase in population and business activities.
To solve this problem, on the proposal of Mardan police, the provincial government has also approved the project of parking plaza in the city. Earlier, members of Mardan Press Club were given a tour of Police Lines, DPO Office and Police Facilitation Centre.
On this occasion, police facility center in-charge Yasir Khan and public relations officer Faheem Khan gave a detailed briefing to the journalists about the ongoing construction works and the facilities provided at the center.
