Matriculation exams begins in Peshawar with over 192,000 students

The matriculation exams in Peshawar will commence here on Tuesday (today), with more than 192,000 students registered under the administration of the Peshawar Education Board.
According to a statement issued here this year, a total of 101,488 students from the ninth grade and 91,086 from the tenth grade will take part in the exams.
Peshawar will see the highest number of candidates, with 104,757 students appearing for the exams, followed by 43,976 from Charsadda and 22,464 from Khyber. Mohmand will have 5,702 students, while 15,675 students from Chitral will also be participating.
A total of 712 examination centers have been set up across the region. Peshawar has 359 centers, Charsadda has 164, Khyber has 80, Mohmand has 25, and Chitral has 84 centers.
In Peshawar, 204 centers have been designated for boys, 129 for girls, and 26 for joint exams. Chitral will have 50 joint centers, 18 for boys, and 16 for girls.
The authorities have made extensive arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of the exams and to accommodate the large number of students.
