PESHAWAR
Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Aftab Alam Advocate Sunday distributed agricultural inputs, including fertilizers, quality seeds, spray pumps, fruit plants, and fencing material for orchards among farmers in tehsil Gumbat of Kohat district.
The distribution has been made in a gathering organized by Agriculture Department (Extension Wing), Kohat at TMA Office, Gumbat.
During event, participants were briefed about performance of the Agriculture Department, ongoing agricultural activities and programs, and developmental projects.
Aftab Alam in his address announced that Zamir Gul Dam was almost finished and will open soon. He said that plans for Gandiali Dam have been approved.
He promised government would support agriculture and help farmers.
Speaking on the occasion, Tehsil Mayor Sajid Iqbal informed that 83 tube wells have been solarized, while demonstration orchards, fertilizer distribution, and free spray pumps are directly benefiting local farmers.
The ceremony was attended by Tehsil Mayor Gumbat Sajid Iqbal, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kohat Hamid Iqbal, District Director Agriculture Kohat, officers of the Agriculture Department, and a large number of progressive farmers.
