Minister visits KP’s largest carp hatchery centre in Peshawar

Provincial minister for livestock and fisheries Fazal Hakeem Khan Yousafzai on Wednesday visited the carp hatchery and training center Sherabad Peshawar.
He was accompanied by director general livestock research Ejaz Khan and other officials.
Minister Fazal Hakeem Khan Yousafzai inspected various sections and activities for fishing and breeding hatchery and directed officials concerned for the expansion and increase of production.
On this occasion, the provincial minister was briefed on the overall activities and informed that the carp hatchery is the largest hatchery in the province as well as a training center where fish farmers from all over the province are provided with baby fish every year and they are trained in every aspect related to fishing.
The hatchery played as a research spot and training centre and provided facilitation to college and university students.
Provincial Minister Fazal Hakeem Khan Yousafzai directed the authorities to prepare all fisheries rules of Fisheries and Aquaculture Act 2022 which has not yet been implemented and refer it to the provincial government so that It can be passed by the provincial assembly soon and come into effect.
