PESHAWAR: Monsoon rains are expected to continue across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with the Pakistan Meteorological Department forecasting the current rainfall in various areas until August 21. Urban flooding has been feared in low-lying areas of several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Mardan and Swabi and areas of Peshawar. Meanwhile, landslides are expected in mountainous areas, including the upper districts, Gilgit-Baltistan and Galiyat. The administration and relevant departments have advised citizens to take precautionary measures and avoid low-lying areas.
