TANK
Muharram-ul-Harram and Ashura Day processions were concluded peacefully in district Tank amid stringent security arrangements.
Tank Police, Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC) South, District Administration and Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) were arranged full proof security arrangements.
Deputy Commissioner tank Hameedullah Khattak,Pak Army Commanding Officer,District Police Chief Waqar Ahamad supervised all the processions in the three sectors.
They were also present on the spot to monitor the security arrangements for the main procession in Gara Baloch village Sector.
In addition to more than 2200 police personnel, Pakistan Army and FC South personnel performed security duties. The district administration had banned pillion riding on motorcycles while the procession routes were completely sealed off. Various services were also offered for Muharram while the elders also played their important role in promoting the atmosphere of brotherhood and fraternity during Muharram..
