In connection of Eid Miladun Nabi and to remember the Sufi poet ,Ameer Hamza Khan Shinwari, a Naatia Mushaira(a poetry event dedicated to praising the Prophet(PBUH) was organized in Jirga Hall, Landi Kotal on Sunday.
The literary activity was arranged by Tanzeem Ahle Sunnah wal Jumaat district Khyber with assistance of Hamza Baba Adabi Maktub, Landi Kotal chapter.
Provincial Minister for Religious Affairs and Hajj Muhammad Adnan Qadri the moot as chief guest while famous Pashto poet Professor Dr Abaseen Yousafzai presided the Mushaira.
Large number of the Tanzeem volunteers, poets and people from different walks of life participated in the gathering.
Addressing on the occasion the Minister said that the purpose of celebration of the birth day of the Holy Prophet was to remember His teachings and life and to strive to follow and practice it.
If a person wants to become great, they should make the Holy Prophet (PBUH) their role model.
He paid rich tribute to the well-known Pashto poet, Hamza Baba and recited his Naatia piece of poetry.
Renowned poets from across the Khyber and Peshawar including Abaseen Yousafzai, Professor Aseer Mungal, Qandahar Afridi, Dr Tawab Masroor, Dr Kaleem Shinwari, Sajjad Shinwari, Rehmat Shah Lehaz and others recited their Naatia poetry.
At the end Minister awarded shields to the participants and organizers and offered prayers for the prosperity and solidarity of the country.
