Indian Army is facing suicide after each three days and over 100 suicides are occurring in every year. Most of the incidents occured in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK).
According to details more than 3300 army personnel do suicide in various incidents. In only last five year, more than 800 Indian army personnel ended their live as they were tired of their officers behaviour. On January 23, 2023 colonel Khanna hanged himself to death with roof fan. While on January 09, 2023 Lt colonel Nashant gun downed his wife and suicided.
Not only male even female officers are also compelled in Indian army to end their life. In 2006 Lieutenant Shasmita Chakrwarti ended her life just after ten months of her recruitment.
According to Shasmita senior officers were compelled to attend late night dance parties and make illicit relations with them.
In October 2019 Lt Colonel Rashmi Mushra trapped her neck with own dupatta while in December 2016 Major Anita Kumari shoot down herself in head in Jammu to death.
Same as in 2007 capt Neharwat leveled harassment allegations on her Major General Lal.
1243 cases of harassment and sexual abuse to lady officers has been reported in Indian Army since 2007.
