PESHAWAR
In a major step toward combating youth unemployment, more than 10,000 students across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa successfully completed digital skills training under the Bano Qabil program, an initiative of Alkhidmat Foundation.
The first phase of the four-month programme concluded this week, with students receiving training in 16 online courses, including digital marketing, e-commerce, and web development, said a press release issued here on Monday.
The programme aims to equip young people with in-demand skills for the online economy.
Ceremonies celebrating the course completions were held across the province in cities such as Peshawar, Abbottabad, Swat, Buner, Bannu, Dir (Upper and Lower), and Charsadda. These events were organized at Alkhidmat’s local Bano Qabil centers.
A major ceremony took place at the Khyber Union Hall of Islamia College University Peshawar, where Alkhidmat Foundation’s provincial president, Mr. Khalid Waqas, presided over the event. Mr. Zareefulmani, Managing Director Khyber Education Foundation, attended as the chief guest.
The event aimed to recognize the achievements of thousands of young participants who completed market-relevant IT and digital skills courses, all provided free of cost.
Final exams were also conducted during the ceremony for the students. Among the notable guests were Mian Sohaib ud Din Kakakhel, Director Bano Qabil Program, Asfandiyar Izzat, provincial head Islami Jamiat Talaba, and Mr. Owais Bilal, Principal Professional Academy of Commerce (PAC).
Speakers emphasized the critical role of youth education in national development. They praised the Bano Qabil program for empowering the next generation with practical skills and opening doors to economic independence.
The graduates were congratulated on their success, and special thanks were extended to the trainers, volunteers, and partner organizations who made the initiative possible.
