The Project Director and Assistant Director of the Housing Foundation met with Dr. Amjad Ali, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the Housing Department, yesterday at his office in the Civil Secretariat, Peshawar.
They briefed the Special Assistant on Housing about the latest figures and progress of the scheme launched for government employees. It was informed in the briefing that online applications for membership in this scheme were received from February 25, 2025 to April 25, 2025, and so far 95,856 government employees have applied for it.
The briefing informed that the process of verification of applicants has been formally started. He said that the entire system from application to verification and plot allotment has been digitalized, which has been made possible through the Dastak app and this platform has been activated in collaboration with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa IT Board (KPITB) to ensure transparency, convenience and timely services.
The briefing further informed that along with the scrutiny of the applications received, the process of land identification has also been started. On this occasion, the Special Assistant issued instructions to verify the applicants as soon as possible and expedite the process of allocating quota in the existing schemes so that the government employees can benefit.
He also stressed on ensuring transparency, providing facilities to the consumers and taking timely steps. Dr. Amjad Ali, while commending the steps taken so far, said that the Housing Foundation is taking practical steps to eliminate the housing problems of government employees.
