PCP’s discipline and services exemplary: Bruno Radicchi of ICRC

Mr Bruno Radicchi, head of Sub-Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), on Wednesday visited the Paraplegic Center Peshawar (PCP) along with the team of the Physical Rehabilitation Program (PRP).
Dr Syed Mohammad Ilyas, CEO PCP, gave the delegation a detailed briefing on the history, objectives and various medical services offered by the institution.
Director Physical Rehabilitation, Dr. Amir Zaib, led the visiting delegation on a tour of the various departments of the center, including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Orthotics and Prosthetics Workshop, Nursing Services, Psychosocial Support, and Sports Rehabilitation.
Appreciating the services of the Paraplegic Center, Mr Bruno Radicchi remarked that this unique institution, which offers comprehensive physical and psychological rehabilitation for spinal cord injury patients across the country, adheres to global standards of discipline, transparency, humanitarian service, and compassion—making it a model for the entire region.
He especially praised the missionary zeal of the center’s staff under the leadership of Dr. Ilyas Syed.
