Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab, Dr. Tariq Saleem, has said that the ideology of Pakistan and the constitution demand an intensified struggle against the outdated system imposed on the country. He emphasized that the people need a revolutionary movement to reclaim their right to rule, which has been denied to them.
Addressing participants of the Markzi Tarbit Gah, Dr. Tariq Saleem said only an organized force like Jamaat-e-Islami can lead this struggle. He criticized the PML-N and PPP for misleading the nation by presenting themselves as rivals while sharing the same vested interests.
Highlighting Jamaat-e-Islami’s membership and public committees, he said these initiatives are milestones in resolving the people’s problems. He added that the party, with the cooperation of citizens, would free the nation from corruption and outdated systems. Referring to Jamaat’s upcoming congregation in November, he said it would prove to be a turning point in the country’s political landscape.
Dr. Tariq Saleem maintained that Pakistan’s true identity lies in its Islamic ideology, but the ruling elite have consistently attempted to undermine it. He said the nation must rise against oppression to protect its rights and restore genuine democracy. “In 79 years, not even a single day has witnessed an Islamic system in Pakistan,” he remarked, calling for unity and struggle to establish justice.
