Peshawar wins blind cricket tournament

Peshawar won the Blind Cricket Tournament trophy by defeating Attock Club. The special guest, Minister for Labor Fazal Shakoor Khan and Deputy Commissioner Charsadda Qaiser Khan distributed the prizes.
They were accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner General Shahbaz Khattak, Additional Deputy Commissioner Finance Kashif Khan, District Sports Officer Mashal Malik, President of Blind Cricket Club Habibullah, Assistant District Sports Officer Arshad Khan and other important personalities.
On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Charsadda, Peshawar defeated Attock by 41 runs in the final match of the Blind Cricket Tournament held at Abdul Wali Khan Sports Complex, Charsadda under the auspices of District Sports Office Charsadda. The third team to participate in this tournament was from Charsadda. Peshawar batted first and scored 154 runs. Mohsin Khan played a best innings of 65 runs, which included five fours.
Apart from them, Habibullah scored 20, Haroon scored 16 and Khalid Khan scored 15 runs, while Raheel Shahzad took one wicket for Attock. In reply, Attock’s team scored 113 runs, in which Raheel Shahzad scored 30 and Zaheer Ahmed scored 23 runs. For Peshawar, Junaid Khan got two and Haroon one wicket.
At the end special guest, Minister for Labor, Fazal Shakoor Khan, and Deputy Commissioner Charsadda Qaiser Khan distributed trophies and cash prizes among the players.
On this occasion, Fazal Shakoor Khan praised District Sports Officer Charsadda Mishal Malik and said that organizing such activities encourages visually impaired children and they enjoy these competitions.
He also thanked Qaiser Khan that due to his special interest, this tournament reached its conclusion. And he hoped that such events would be organized in the future as well. These competitions continued for two days.
