An online Khuli Kachehri was held under the chairmanship of Provincial Minister for Public Health Engineering Fazal Shakoor Khan, providing citizens a direct platform to raise concerns and seek prompt redressal of issues.
The virtual open court saw participation from citizens across the province, who conveyed their grievances via telephone directly to the minister and senior officials. During the session, Fazal Shakoor Khan personally listened to complaints and issued on-the-spot directives to relevant authorities for immediate action.
The session was attended by Secretary Public Health Engineering Masood Younas, Additional Secretary Jahangir Azam, chief engineers and other officials. Participants highlighted delays in ongoing Public Health Engineering projects and called for their timely completion.
Responding to these concerns, the minister assured that efforts were being expedited to complete all development schemes within stipulated timelines. He also directed officials to record complainants’ contact details to enable Executive Engineers (XENs) to ensure follow-up and effective resolution of issues.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said resolving public grievances at their doorstep remains a top priority of the provincial government, adding that all available resources are being utilised to improve service delivery.
He noted that Khuli Kachehris provide an effective platform for direct interaction between citizens and senior officials, eliminating intermediaries and facilitating immediate responses. He added that such initiatives are helping bridge the gap between the public and government departments while strengthening public trust.
Fazal Shakoor Khan said that, on the directives of Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, similar open courts are being organised across the province to promote good governance and ensure timely resolution of public issues.
He reaffirmed that the series of Khuli Kachehris would continue, stressing the government’s commitment to public welfare, improved service delivery, and completion of development projects within set deadlines.
