Police claimed to have arrested the prime accused with facilitator for killing a youth in the limits of Shahpur Police Station here on Thursday.
Briefing journalists, police said that the prime accused Malik Nadir of Akbarpura area of Nowshera district. Later, while trying to escape by hiding in a nearby village, the police cordoned off the area as soon as the incident was reported and started strict surveillance of all the routes.
Police also arrested the facilitator identified as Malik Raza.
During the preliminary investigation, he confessed to killing Malik Uzair on the pretext of previous enmity. Both the accused are under further investigation. According to details, Malik Uzair had been killed in Yasinabad due to previous enmity while the accused were trying to escape.
Arriving at the spot immediately, they started a series of raids on the possible hideouts of the accused and also started strict monitoring of the feeding routes around Yasinabad, during which the main accused Malik Nadir son Malik Akbar was arrested along with his facilitator Malik Raza.
