Provincial government fails to provide 100% books to students

MARDAN: The provincial government has failed to provide 100 percent books to students due to poor performance. Hundreds of students of primary and middle schools, including hundreds of high and secondary schools in Mardan, are forced to go to school without textbooks. According to sources, the education department had collected data from schools through MIU and assured the district education officers to provide 50 percent books. On the other hand, the majority of students have been forced to use old books, while the majority of students are studying without textbooks.
Teachers are also hesitant, due to which where teachers are helpless, students and their parents are suffering. There is a fear that the educational future of children without textbooks will be bleak. It should be noted that the provincial government has asked the district education officers to ensure that 100 percent of children are admitted to school.
Parents have strongly demanded from the higher authorities of the provincial government to ensure the provision of books to the children, otherwise they will be forced to pick up the children from school.
