PTI leaders Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Umar Sarfraz Cheema, Dr Yasmin Rashid and others have challenged their indictment in torching the vehicles case. The case against PTI leaders for setting ablaze the vehicles near Sherpao bridge on May 9 came up for hearing in Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) led by judge Arshid Javed Tuesday. Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Umar Sarfraz Cheema, Dr Yasmin Rashid and others challenged their indictment. ATC judge while issuing notice to the prosecution on the petition against indictment sought reply.
The court recorded statements of 6 witnesses against Shah Mehmood Qureshi and other accused. Statements of Police man Yousuf, constable Rashid others were recorded.
The witness told the court damage amounting to Rs 175000 was caused to the state property due to vandalism outside Jinnah House.
The court adjourned hearing of the case till November 25.
In an informal chat with the media men outside Kot Lakhpat jail Umar Sarfaraz Cheema said protest call on November 24 will be succeed. PTI is being subjected to victimization since two years. This government is violating law and constitution. Peaceful protest will be staged .
