Returning of illegally staying foreigners from Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa continued and 513 people were sent to Afghanistan via Peshawar, Torkham border, an official of the Home and Tribal Affairs Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said here Sunday.
According to details, given to the media men, he said, a total of 6,600 migrants were sent to Afghanistan and a total 5287 migrants from Pakhtunkhwa, 129 from Islamabad, 1150 from Punjab, 34 from Azad Kashmir were sent to Afghanistan.
A total of 268,552 people have been deported from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Afghanistan through Peshawar, Torkham border, the official said. He disclosed that efforts are being made to send migrants to Afghanistan from Peshawar, other borders, Angoor Adda and Kharlachi.
A total of 3703 people were sent to Afghanistan through Angoor Adda border while 698 people were sent to Afghanistan from Kharlachi border, the official said. He said 2,72, 954 people have been sent to Afghanistan from the three borders of Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
However, according to the latest survey by the district administration and local police, details of illegal foreigners have been compiled. There are 676 illegal aliens in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including 172 men, 141 women and 354 children.
He said 38 families in which 68 men, 60 women, 272 people including 144 children are living in Kurram District, and 35 families in Khyber district, including 35 men, 32 women, 144 people with 77 children, are residing at Bara, Jamardud and Landi Kotal.
In Haripur district, 16 families in which 27 men, 22 women, 38 children including 87 people are residing at Ghazi, Haripur and Khanpur. In District Malakand, 7 families including 7 men, 6 women, 47 people including 34 children are residing at Dargai.
In District Peshawar 4 families in which 8 men, 8 women, 36 people including 18 children are living at Shah Alam place and 10 families including 35 people are residing illegally in Lower Chitral and 19 people are residing illegally in Nowshera district, 14 people in Dir Upper and 6 people in Mardan district, the official confirmed. He said the district administration and local police are committed to ensure safe return of all illegally staying foreigners across the province to their home land.
