ISLAMABAD, August 05 : PPP central leader Syed Khurshid Shah has said if coalition partners pit candidates against each other in coming general election then the alliance will stand fragmented.
” the alliance will break up and the government benefits will stand wasted if component parties of ruling alliance pit candidates against each other, he said this in a special interview to voice of America here Saturday.
In next general election the allied parties should focus on 120 seats won by PTI in 2018 general election, he stressed. They should support the party which stood second on these seats during 2018 general election.
The 11 parties demonstrated responsibility during their one and half year rule and steered out country out of difficult situation, he observed.
According to him ” the real test will come in election that either we had assembled for grabbing power or for the sake of state.
This responsibility rests with PML-N that how it takes along other parties in general election that atmosphere of unity stays maintained.
He disclosed the election can be postponed till next year on the basis of new population census.
