Islamabad(Online): Supreme Court (SC) on Monday has stopped Sindh Public Service Commission from further appointments in the department.
Sindh Public Service Commission has been directed not to appoint further officials until the final decision of suo moto notice. A three member bench comprising on Ijaz ul Hassan and Justice Khilji Arif headed by Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali heard the case.
The Sindh government presented the report regarding the appointment of PSC Chairman and further officers in the court and requested the court to conclude the case fulfilling the requirements of justice.
The counsel of Sindh government informed the court that chairman and officers of PSC have been appointed according to eligibility.
During the hearing, Justice Khilji Arif Hussain expressed resentment and asked that is there any system in the country or not?
He said that a person lacking required eligibility was handed over the duties of chairman on which Additional Advocate General Sindh said that ending appointments would down the system.
Chief Justice of Pakistan Anwar Zaheer Jamali remarked that the department would not be allowed to continue recruitments till the satisfaction of the court.
Subsequently, the case has been adjourned till November 3.
