KOHAT
Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Information Shafi Jan has warned that delays, negligence, and lack of transparency in development projects in Kohat would not be tolerated, pledging strict action against officials found responsible.
He was speaking while chairing a high-level review meeting at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office to assess ongoing and planned development schemes and address public grievances, a handout said.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Kohat Muhammad Nawaz Wazir and heads of all line departments, who briefed the Special Assistant on the progress, timelines, and challenges of various projects.
Shafi Jan reviewed the pace, quality, and transparency of each development scheme and directed officials to ensure timely completion.
He stressed that development initiatives involve public funds, leaving no room for substandard work or mismanagement.
He also instructed officers to remain present in the field, strengthen monitoring mechanisms, and ensure prompt redressal of public complaints.
Mr Jan said that future review meetings would focus on tangible progress rather than paperwork, with visible results serving as the sole benchmark for performance.
