Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) chairman Muhammad Faiq Shah said social and economic justice vital for the country’s prosperity and progress.
Talking to a group of reporters here on Sunday, Shah linked the country’s integrity, stability and development with public rights.
He reminded that his party was carrying out a vigorous campaign for public rights and justice, vowing that the struggle will be contained till provision of unprecedented authorities and powers to people. He said political, social and economic justice and public authority is our manifesto and agenda. Shah also reiterated that they will hold strict accountability and assessment over non-provision of rights and justice to people whether it is caretaker government or any other.
He stressed the need for a holistic standing charter of all federating units including Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir on justice, education and health.

Shah made it clear that the issues cannot be resolved until provision of public authority and powers.

He expressed grave concern over growing social and economic injustices in the society.

The ATP chairman noted all segments of the society adversely suffered by the current oppressive and cruel system.

Writ of the government is unseen anywhere and people have left on mercy of hoarders and profiteering, he added.

The party leader said the spiraling price-hike has broken the backbone of the poor people.

Shah said rulers have snatched bread and butter from the mouths of poor masses.

He maintained it has been made difficult to earn livelihoods for their families.

Furthermore, he stressed a joint mechanism and roadmap should be crafted to tackle serious challenges and issues, like price-hike, unemployment, poverty, hunger and drought-like situation.

The ATP chairman said the life of the common man has been made miserable.

He said the cost of living has increased exponentially and that it has made it difficult for poor people to fight against the current depressing situation.

He said political victimization has further brought chaos and unrest in the country.
