In order to maintain law and order situation during the Muharram days, police have launched a special drive against anti-social elements in the provincial capital.
According to details shared with the media, police during the last one week 12 cases have been registered and a campaign against the involved elements has also been intensified.
SSP Operation Kashif Aftab Abbasi has said that the aim of the ongoing campaign was to maintain the law and order situation.
He has directed the police officials to submit their progress report on a daily basis while directing the ongoing campaign to intensify and indiscriminate operations.
“A crackdown is also underway against non-number plate motorcycles and tinted glasses at important and sensitive places in the city,” he added.
SSP Operations Peshawar has also directed action against double riding in order to further improve the campaign.
