The aim of the session was to ensure effective implementation of law to curtail harassment and Gender Based Violence (GBV) in the society and enhance capacity of duty bearers.
The trainees of the PFA training have been selected by the KP Ombudsperson. They represent women serving as advocates, educationalists, non-governmental organisations and health practitioners who have the additional responsibility of being members of Inquiry Committee on Sexual Harassment at their work place. Through this training, the 20 women will be able to apply the techniques as Psycho-social First Aid to clients in distress/trauma as a result of man-made and natural calamities.
The immediate response as PFA provider will help them to be first responders to release stress and will refer them further for support.
The trained 20 women will serve as the Rapid Action Task Force of the KP Ombudsperson who will be the first responders to support survivors of GBV and other clients who seek legal assistance.
