Tariq elected President of Pakistan Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation

The elections of the Pakistan Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation for the next four-year term have been completed, with Tariq Parvez elected President, Imdadullah Memon Senior Vice President and Tariq Zafar Secretary General.
The elections were held at the Pakistan Olympic House in Lahore under the supervision of the Election Commission of the Pakistan Bodybuilding Association. The commission comprised Muhammad Abdullah, Advocate High Court, as Chairman; Ijaz Ahmed Rana, Advocate High Court, as Secretary; and Muhammad Wajihuddin and Sehrish Hawar as members.
Muhammad Jahangir, Chairman of the Pakistan Karate Federation, attended the elections as an observer on behalf of the Pakistan Olympic Association. Representatives from Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Sindh, Islamabad, Pakistan WAPDA, Police, Railways, HEC, the Pakistan Judges Association and the Athletes Commission participated in the General Council meeting.
According to the final notification issued by the Election Commission, 21 office-bearers were elected unopposed for a four-year term from 2026 to 2030. Tariq Parvez was elected President, Imdadullah Memon Senior Vice President, Muhammad Umar Saleem and Syed Haider Abbas Vice Presidents, while Tariq Zafar was elected Secretary General. Khalid Ali was elected Joint/Deputy Secretary and Abdul Ali Treasurer. Muhammad Iqbal, Ali Imran and Sheikh Muhammad Mohsin/Javed Anwar were appointed Associate Secretaries.
Haider Khan, Muhammad Owais Khan, Ayesha Urooj, Muhammad Imran Qureshi, Sara Ali Imran, Syed Yasir Abbas, Rais Ahmed Khan and Ehsanullah Khan were elected Executive Members, while Hidayat Khalilullah, Muhammad Shehbaz and Shakeel Ilyas were declared Individual Members.
Speaking at the meeting, newly elected President Tariq Parvez said the federation had regularly organized national junior, senior and fitness competitions in previous terms. He said national events were held in Peshawar in 2022, 2023 and 2025, and in Lahore in 2024, while Pakistani athletes also won several international medals.
Tariq Parvez thanked the affiliated associations, departments, Judges Association, Athletes Commission and individual members for their cooperation, saying their support made the unopposed election of the federation’s office-bearers possible. He pledged to take comprehensive measures, with the cooperation of all stakeholders, for the promotion and development of bodybuilding and fitness in Pakistan.
