PESHAWAR
The Minister for Higher Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Justice (R) Irshad Qaisar chaired the 13th meeting of the UET Peshawar Senate held the other day in the Governor House Peshawar.
The Vice Chancellor, UET Peshawar Prof. Dr. Iftikhar Hussain briefed the meeting about the progress and budget of the university. The meeting approved the proposed budget estimates of Rs. 2414.521 million for the year 2023-24.
The University was appreciated for its efforts of curtailing its cost from different areas and ensuring austerity measures at its best.
During the meeting, the Vice Chancellor thanked the provincial government as well as HEC for their support and reiterated that the University’s overall performance as per the Times Higher Education ranking for the previous has shown outstanding results in engineering and over all categories due to excellence in faculty research, quality teaching and academic linkages.
Justice (R) Irshad Qaisar commended the untiring efforts of Dr. Iftikhar Hussain and his team for the academic uplifting of the university.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Aneela Mehfooz Durrani, Secretary Higher Education Department, KP, Prof. Dr. Misbah Ullah, Treasurer, Dr. Khizar Azam Khan, Registrar UET Peshawar and other senior officials.
