CCPO Peshawar visits traffic police headquarters

Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Syed Ashfaq Anwar on Thursday visited City Traffic Police Headquarters Gulbahar.
Upon his arrival, traffic police officials received CCPO Peshawar and saluted him.
CCPO laid flowers on the commemorative police martyrs and raised the ranks of the police martyrs. Later, Chief Traffic Officer Qamar Hayat Khan informed CCPO Syed Ashfaq Anwar about the reforms in city traffic, MF Radio 88.6, traffic monitoring camera control, DL vans, license branch modernization, issuance of licenses.
For the convenience of Overseas Pakistanis, an online website www.ptpkp.gov.pk, a YouTube channel, measures taken for the convenience of the public and an awareness campaign about the city traffic police rules in educational institutions to raise awareness among the people, he added.
CCPO Syed Ashfaq Anwar strictly instructed the traffic officials to issue licenses keeping in mind the legal requirements for obtaining driving licenses on the occasion of the driving test.
A special crackdown should be launched against elderly drivers and motorcycle riders without helmets, one-wheelers, those carrying school children on rooftops to prevent accidents while using all available resources to ensure smooth flow of traffic.
He also directed to take steps to provide the best travel facilities to the people, CCPO visited the various sections of the driving license issue, he also inspected the tri ground, planted a tree and the country and the nation.
Talking to the media, CCPO Syed Ashfaq Anwar said that with the support of the Rickshaw Association, traffic rules have been started by removing indecent and immoral pictures and words on the rickshaws plying on different highways of the city.
There will be no such rickshaw in the city that has immoral pictures or words written on it, he said that the traffic pressure is high in Peshawar city, on daily basis about 0.5million vehicles enter the city from the nearby districts.
He said that the Safe City project is very important for the crime management of the city
