PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif has said Transparency International (TI) has testified for the second time Imran Niazi government is thief and corrupt and the report from this international institution is charge sheet against PTI government.
“ The TI report on escalating corruption in Pakistan is a charge sheet against the government. The thefts of those who are wailing corruption, corruption are being caught on day to day basis”, he said this while reacting to TI report on rise in corruption in Pakistan here Tuesday.
He went on to say TI report is indictment of government therefore, corrupt rulers should step down forthwith as this country cannot afford their loot and plunder spree.
Corruption is escalating in Pakistan in Imran Khan premiership and the world is saying the Prime Minister (PM) is thief, he underlined.
Decline of Pakistan’s ranking by 16 positions in corruption global index exposes is regrettable. This earned defamation for Pakistan at international level.
Corruption had gone down under the honest and capable leadership of Nawaz Sharif, he indicated. Our ranking in corruption index improved by 23 points due to our good governance, transparency and reforms. It is unfortunate that this corrupt group has undermined all our hard work.
In every year from 2019 to 2021 the corruption graph ascended in PTI led government, he claimed.
