ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Industries, Abdul Karim Tordher visited the Arts and Crafts Gallery in Islamabad and reviewed the cultural artifacts, traditional garments and handicrafts on display. The Special Assistant toured various stalls and showed keen interest in the exhibits. The Arts and Crafts Gallery serves as an exhibition center under the ownership of the Small Industries Development Board (SIDB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The gallery building consists of a plaza where handicrafts from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well as from other regions of the country are exhibited for display and sale. The handicraft center located in Islamabad has been revitalized as a full-fledged handicrafts bazaar under the banner of the Pakistan Arts and Crafts Gallery. An e-portal has also been established to link the gallery with an online system to promote e-commerce. This initiative enables easier access to the province’s cultural artifacts through a digital platform, thereby boosting the market reach and sales potential of the handicraft sector of the province.
