Chief Traffic Officer Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat on Saturday visited University Road to review the traffic management as per the vision of the Chief Minister.
During the visit, DSP Town Hazratullah also accompanied him.
During the visit, Abbas Majeed Marwat reviewed the flow of traffic and issued necessary instructions to the traffic authorities.
The Chief Traffic Officer directed the authorities to take stern action against the violators of the No parking zones and ensure parking in the plazas in all cases so that the citizens do not park their vehicles on the side of the roads.
Mr Abbas has said that all capabilities should be utilized to improve the uninterrupted flow of traffic and no negligence will be tolerated in this regard.
He further said that the traffic personnel should clear the sidewalks including roadside from encroachment of mafia so that pedestrians would not face any problem and no leniency would be shown to anyone in this regard.
City traffic police should continue to be aware of traffic rules and encroachments across the city as better results are emerging.
The business community should co-operate with the traffic staff to eliminate encroachments from the city and ensure smooth flow of traffic.
