CHARSADDA
An additional district and sessions court in Charsadda has acquitted two men charged in an attempted murder case after finding the prosecution evidence insufficient to establish their guilt.
According to the complainant, Ijaz Khan, the accused, Nasir and Nabeel, residents of Abazai, had an altercation with him over an Easyload transaction. He alleged that the two men opened fire and attacked him and another man, Yousaf, with a knife, leaving both injured.
During the trial, Advocate Manzoor Bashir appeared on behalf of the accused and argued that there was no credible evidence linking his clients to the alleged offence. He maintained that the prosecution had failed to produce sufficient evidence to prove the charges and sought their acquittal.
After hearing arguments from the parties, the court acquitted both accused, holding that the charge against them had not been proved.
