PESHAWAR: Gulbahar police have arrested two suspects allegedly involved in online gambling and illegal possession of weapons during separate operations, the Capital City Police said on Thursday. According to a police statement, the actions were carried out on the directives of SP Faqirabad Division Hamza Ali Butt and under the supervision of DSP Gulbahar Circle Inamullah. A total of Rs1 million in alleged gambling stakes, a mobile phone used for online gambling, and two pistols were recovered from their possession, according to the statement. SHO Gulbahar Police Station Adnan Afzal Khan, along with a police team, conducted raids and arrested the suspects identified as Sohail Hanif, a resident of Yaka Toot, who was allegedly involved in online gambling, and Irshad, son of Amin Khan, for allegedly possessing illegal weapons.
