US parliamentary level contacts could play a key role to firming bilateral ties; Asad Qaisar

Speaker National Assembly (NA) Asad Qaiser has said that Increased contacts between Pakistan and America at the US parliamentary level could play a key role in further strengthening bilateral ties.
The United States is a partner in Pakistan’s infrastructure development, investment and other important areas, Asad Qaiser added .
According to media report, a delegation of members of the US Congress led by the chairman of the Congressional foreign affairs Committee (US), Mr. Gregory Meeks met with the Speaker of National Assembly (NA) Asad Qaiser and discussed bilateral relations, the situation in the region and issues of mutual interest.
Speaker National Assembly (NA) Asad Qaiser said that the increase in parliamentary level contacts in both the countries could play a significant role in further strengthening the bilateral relations.

He said that more than 1 million Pakistani immigrants living in the United States are acting as a bridge between the two countries.
He said that the United States is a partner in infrastructure development, investment and other important areas in Pakistan, and for the establishment of lasting peace in the region, it is necessary to promote peace in both the countries.
Chairman Congressional foreign affairs Committee (US) said that the United States attaches great importance to its relations with Pakistan and seeks to further strengthen bilateral cooperation by promoting bilateral cooperation.
Mr. Gregory said that Pakistan is an important country in the region and Pakistan’s role is very important for the establishment of lasting peace in the region.
