10 arrested for attempting to cheat in ETEA exam in Bannu

On the basis of authentic information, a successful raid was conducted by Assistant Commissioner Bannu Allah Nawaz Khan on the ETEA Test in Bannu district today in secret places near the test halls.
Following the Provincial government clear orders to prevent illegal activities for passing examination in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on the basis of confidential information received by Deputy Commissioner Bannu Mohammad Fahim, Assistant Commissioner Bannu Allah Nawaz Khan, along with police personnel, conducted successful operation and seized the ETEA Examination papers with sheets, laptop computers, printers and other equipment involved. Ten persons were arrested on the spot.
Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Commissioner Bannu Allah Nawaz Khan said that the raid was conducted at 9:30 am this morning with the concerned officials of Mera Khel police station, where the complaint was registered against the involved persons in malpractice and unlawful acts for solving ETEA papers under the Education Department today.
He said that all the arrested persons have been sent into lock up at the respective Meera Khel police station under legal proceedings. This has also been reported to the authorities of the ETEA Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for further necessary action.
Assistant Commissioner issued Warning to the all concerned persons involved in such activities for avoiding such practices, otherwise strict action would be taken accordingly.He said that further operations would be conducted under which recruitment could be promoted on the basis of qualifications while maintaining transparency and merit supremacy in the examination system.
