2,500 POs arrested in Peshawar during current year

Capital City Police has arrested a total of 2,500 Proclaimed Offenders (POs) during the current year so far, said a handout issued on Thursday.
The statement said that a total of 2,500 POs have been arrested in Peshawar this year. The arrested criminals identity cards, bank accounts and property transfers and registry documents were also being blocked, it added.
Among the arrested criminals are murder, attempted murder, kidnapping. 232 facilitators have also been arrested for cracking down on criminals for ransom and other serious incidents.
SSP Operation Lieutenant Commander (Retd) Kashif Aftab Abbasi has directed to intensify the ongoing crackdown against the advertisers. Weekly progress report has been requested in this regard referring to special tasks to Divisional SPs.
