Under the program, youngsters were skilled with a range of courses including beauticians, dressmaking, digital marketing and installation of CCTV cameras that will help enable the beneficiaries to stand on their own feet by acquiring expertise in various fields and professions. Besides arranging training materials, equipment and tools, qualified and certified trainers were engaged to train these youngsters in various institutes established at University Town, Arbab Road, Hayatabad, Kohat Road and Ring Road of Peshawar.
Addressing the training sessions, MYRP program manager, Mr. Tariq Hayat Yousafzai said that vocational training equips individuals with practical skills in specific fields, making them more employable and increasing their earning potential.
He said that the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is facing multiple challenges including less job opportunities for the people, thus it is the need of the hour to equip the youth with various skills of the modern day.
Realizing the need of this, VSO and ECW successfully conducted a vocational program for the youth of Peshawar, providing them new skills that can boost self-esteem and confidence, helping individuals believe in their abilities, he said.
