PESHAWAR: Action against adulteration mafia by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority Peshawar continued here on Friday. Food safety teams suddenly raided Qeema manufacturing units in Firdous more than 5000 kg of chicken bones were destroyed, a spokesman of the Food Authority said here. Harmful and substandard mincemeat was being prepared by mixing color with chicken bones by machine, Food Authority spokesman said. The Food Authority spokesman said that such Qeema have to supply for making Chapli and Seekh Kebab and other items. Two units sold, owners arrested, action initiated under Food Safety Act, Food Authority spokesman said. Such elements should refrain from playing with the health of citizens and defaming the entire industry, Director General Food Authority Shah Rukh Khan said. APP
