PESHAWAR: A Lawmaker belonging to the Awami National Party (ANP) submitted an adjournment motion to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on Thursday seeking debate on the target killing of police force in the province. The motion filed by ANP MPA Sardar Hussain Babak regretted the poor law and order situation in KP and termed the attacks on police force and their target killing a failure of the provincial government. He said that police force of the province bravely fought and still fighting against the terrorism the province, adding target attacks on police continue but no measures have been taken by the government. ANP leader in the KP Assembly demanded the government to increase the police force and also raise their salaries and other incentives. The KP government should also increase the amount of martyrs’ package, increase in police force, increase in salaries and allowances. “Construction of police stations and new police posts” providing vehicles and modern weapons to the police department and providing training will make it possible to eradicate terrorism in the province.
