Following the instructions of high-ups, Pharipura Police and Pakistan Army under a special plan conducted a joint search operation against anti-social elements and unregistered foreigners in the area, said a handout.
The statement said that the search and strike operation was led by ASP Faqirabad Syed Talal Ahmad Shah in which Pakistan Army, SHO Police Station Paharipura Qazi Nisar, Police Commandos, RRF, Ladies Police and other units also took part.
“The aim of the operation was to held anti-social elements, criminals, unregistered tenants, facilitators providing other facilities, drug dealers and suspects in various areas,” police said.
Additional patrolling has also been increased on a daily basis in various areas of the city along with spot checking and special blockades at all entrances.
ASP Faqirabad, Usma Ameen Cheema, has said that all available resources would be utilized to control crimes in the areas and ensure protection of citizens.
