Detention of media persons of district Khyber was rejected by the journalist community here on Wednesday.
According to the details two media persons of district Khyber, identified as Abuzer Afridi and Qazi Fazlullah visited Election Commission, Khyber, located at divisional office Kohat Road, Peshawar to get information for upcoming Local Bodies election.
However on their arrival, they found the office locked. When they were conducting converge of locked office of Election Commission, Khyber, the police took their cameras and mobile phones and misbehaved them.
Later on they were dragged out of the office, dumped into vehicle and shifted them to Rehman Baba police station where from they were released after five hours.
Journalist community condemned the misbehaved of the police and officials of divisional election commission office and demanded of the concerned highups to take forthwith departmental actions against them.
