Colorful sports gala ends at CBP

The Sports Gala 2025 organized by the Cantonment Board Peshawar concluded successfully after featuring exciting competitions in various sports.
The gala included events such as cricket, football, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, tug of war, squash, and ball pool.
Renowned world squash champion Mr. Jansher Khan graced the event as the Chief Guest and appreciated the efforts of the Cantonment Board for promoting sports and healthy activities. Four teams—CB Green, CB Yellow, Cantt Public Education Institutes, and Cantt General Hospital—participated in the Sports Gala. A total of 130 employees of the Cantonment Board took part in the competitions.
Throughout the tournament, the CB Green Team delivered an outstanding performance. The team’s captain, Senior Horticulturist Mr. Mehr Gul Wazir, demonstrated exceptional skills and was awarded the title of Player of the Tournament.
According to the results, the Men’s Badminton title was won by Cantt General Hospital, while the Women’s Badminton title was secured by Cantt Public Girls High School. CB Yellow emerged victorious in football, whereas CB Green claimed titles in cricket, volleyball, and tug of war. In the ball pool competition, the Cantonment Executive Officer, Peshawar Cantt, Mr. Chaudhry Babar Hussain, was declared the winner, while Ms. Javeria Bano, Additional CEO, won the Women’s Table Tennis event.
During the closing ceremony, Chief Guest Mr. Jansher Khan distributed trophies and certificates among the players. Addressing the ceremony, the Cantonment Executive Officer stated that such sports activities would continue in the future to promote sportsmanship, youth engagement, and healthy lifestyles. Employees of the Cantonment Board expressed their gratitude to the Cantonment Executive Officer, Mr. Chaudhry Babar Hussain, for organizing the event and reaffirmed their commitment to actively participate in future sports activities as well.
