Police on Tuesday claimed to have successfully solved the blind murder case of ASI Safdar Khan, who was shot dead near Talarzai Bridge in Machni Gate area last month.
According to police statement, the police arrested two suspects identified as Jawaad and Sanaullah, and recovered the murder weapon.
The investigation revealed that the suspects, who were acquaintances of the victim, had planned and executed the murder due to a long-standing some personal disputes.
The police investigation team used CCTV footage, forensic evidence, and technical analysis to track down the suspects.
The suspects confessed to the crime, stating that they had been planning the murder for some time and had used their acquaintance with the victim to gain his trust before committing the crime.
