ISLAMABAD
District and Sessions Court Islamabad has ordered Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chatha to appear before it tomorrow in person in Controversial tweets case.
The case came up for hearing before additional district and sessions judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka Thursday.
Both of the accused did not appear in the court during the hearing of the case.
During the hearing of the case Judge Afzal Majoka inquired where are the accused.
Prosecution told the court the accused are deliberately present in the office of president of Islamabad High Court Bar.
Prosecution requested the court to issue arrest warrants of the accused.
Judge remarked he has full powers to issue orders.
Prosecution took the plea the accused are not appearing in the court despite high court’s directives. Therefore. their bail be cancelled and arrest warrants be issued.
The court was told both of them have got bail before arrest from Islamabad high court in July 2025 case. However both of them spent their second night too in the office of president of Islamabad high court office for fear of arrest.
